Overview
Residual moisture after autoclaving (Wet Loads) is a common issue with grave consequences to the product and compliance. It’s because wet loads provide a comfortable environment for microorganisms to settle and contaminate your equipment or packaging material.
Wet loads can result from various reasons, such as failed equilibration time, bowie dick tests and leak rate tests because they impact the air removal process for porous load cycles.
In this webinar, you will learn to overcome these issues via a combination of methods, such as cycle design, load preparation and wrapping.
By the end of the webinar, you will…
- be able to design a robust and repeatable cycle,
- know how to optimize the autoclaves air removal and help prevent bowie dick failures and equilibration time failures,
- and minimize failures during routine production.
As a result, your process will be more stable, compliant and you will save much time reprocessing wet loads.
Completing this course will help you:
- Understand and Identify routine failures
- Develop robust and reliable cycle to prevent the likelihood of cycle failures.
- Minimise autoclave downtime due to process failures.
- Prepare autoclave loads to be sterilized routinely.
Who is the training for?
The webinar will be highly beneficial to anyone who works with autoclaves and is involved with their validation, such as Validation Engineers and Quality Assurance.
Topics
- Wet Load
- Bowie Dick Failure
- Leak Rate Failure
- Equilibration Time Failure
- Optimising Air Removal
- Optimising Load Drying
- Load Orintation – Repeatable and Optimised for the prevention of wet loads
- Autoclave Wrapping – Optimised for prevention of condensate collection.
During the Q&A, you will be able to ask Chris ask questions on any aspect of autoclave validation.
